Keep Florida Beautiful showcases excellence at the Keep America Beautiful Conference

KFB Group PhotoThe 2020 Keep America Beautiful (KAB) National Conference was held February 12 – 14 in Memphis, TN.

KAB affiliates from across the U.S. gathered with partner organizations, community leaders, policymakers and volunteers for a premier educational, training and networking event. KFB Chair Liz DeWitt of the Florida Beverage Association, Board Member Steve Lezman of PepsiCo, and Jennifer Baugher of Coke Florida also attended the event. During the conference, KAB recognized those that excelled in the arena of litter prevention, improved recycling, and community beautification in 2019 through their National Awards Ceremony.

Florida’s maintained its status of excellence and distinction in the KAB community is demonstrated by the following awards received:

Iron Eyes Cody Award – Stanley Kroh, President, Board of Trustees, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful

State Agency Partnership Recognition Award – Florida Dept of Transportation, Keep Florida Beautiful

Innovation Award (Programs) – Keep Pensacola Beautiful & their Pieces Adrift Art Show

Innovation Award (Partnership) – Keep Sarasota County Beautiful & Sarasota County Solid Waste Department, Recycling Contamination Project

National Community Improvement Award (End Littering) – Keep Brevard Beautiful

Affiliate Award of Excellence – Keep Indian River Beautiful

State Affiliate Recognition Award (Diamond Level) – Keep Florida Beautiful

FBA applauds the efforts of KFB’s more than 40 county and city affiliates as they work to engage and educate citizens, visitors, and communities to improve Florida through litter prevention, increased recycling, education, and beautification efforts.
