We're Teaming Up With You to Make a Difference in Your Community

teaming up with you

Are you looking to make a positive impact in your community? Is doing more to help others one of your resolutions for the new year? Then we have good news for you!

The Florida Beverage Association (FBA) has officially opened its Community Grant Program, an initiative created to promote the advancement of environmental sustainability, as well as health and wellness programs for the state of Florida.

Now in its eighth year, the Community Grant Program applications are officially available for 2023, and FBA invites you to take an important step toward promoting improved health—both individual and environmental—throughout the Sunshine State.

Why Apply?

Applying for an FBA Community Grant is more than a chance to fund your organization’s project—it’s the opportunity to take an important step towards improving your community’s health and bettering the environment that we call home.

FBA’s dedication to a cleaner Florida and healthier population begins with our members ― the non-alcoholic beverage producers who make it their daily work to offer smart, tasty options like flavored, enhanced, and sparkling waters, zero-sugar sports drinks, and teas that help Florida’s families find the beverages that match their lifestyles. Additionally, we keep the Sunshine State’s environmental health a top priority by designing our plastic bottles to be 100 percent recyclable, including the cap.

Together, we can increase our impact in improving the future of Florida. That’s why FBA is proud to support projects aimed at environmental sustainability and create opportunities to promote individual health. These issues are important to us, important to you, and even more reasons you should apply to the FBA Community Grant Program.

Eligible Organizations

FBA has opened its Community Grant Program application eligibility to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or governmental entity—state or local—that will use the funds for a charitable purpose related to our organization’s core values. Past winners have used the grant funds for programs emphasizing environmental sustainability, as well as for promoting fitness, nutrition, and general wellness.

Want to know if your nonprofit organization or government entity fits the profile as a potential grant recipient? Full eligibility requirements can be reviewed at the Grant Program Criteria link. Take a look, and then apply for your FBA Community Grant right away!

Scope of Grant Awards

FBA awards through the Community Grant Program are typically capped at $25,000, although there is potential flexibility in award amounts for certain unique requests.

Organizations receiving the FBA Community Grants may also qualify for a matching grant through the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America (ABFHA) grand program. You can review the specifications for the matching grant eligibility at www.beveragefoundation.org.

How to Apply

Grant applications may be submitted online on the FBA website. But don’t wait! FBA is accepting applications now through Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, after which the application window will close for 2023.

Announcement of Grant Awards

FBA will announce its Community Grant recipients on March 15, 2023, following the review of all applications by its Board Grant Subcommittee. Winners will then be recommended for the American Beverage for a Healthy America (ABFHA) matching grants program, the recipients of which will be announced in May 2023.
